Saddle Stitch Books are a quick and economical way to give you a professional looking piece. Typical uses include but not limited to product catalogs, magazines, instruction manuals, directories and event programs.Saddle stitch books are bound by driving staples through the center of the spine of folded sheets.Saddle Stitch printing is best when your book has 48 pages or less. We can saddle stitch up to 60 but normally we recommend perfect bind for more then 48 pages.The Cover (outermost paper of the book) can be the same paper as the text, commonly called a Self Cover or a thicker/heavier paper can be used which is called Plus cover.Thicker cover paper is scored to minimize paper crackingBook pages and covers are printed on the paper of your choice.The size of the cover and inside pages are exactly the same.The booklet can be printed in a short run of 1 copy all the way up to 1,000 copies making it ideal for businesses of all sizes.Additional charges maybe required if files are not setup correctly.If you are looking for custom finishing or sizes call us or email [email protected] to considerPage count must be in a multiple of 4Bleeds of 0.125 are required for graphics that extend to the edge of the page.For documents that need bleeds be sure to include Trim marks to ensure we trim the book correctly.Page Creep - Saddle Stitch book pages are folded, stacked, stitched and trimmed. As pages are stacked, the inside pages are pushed out. When the books are trimmed this may cause important information to be trimmed as illustrated to the right. Maintain a 0.25 margin at the trim edge as a safety margin from page creep.All Fonts should be embedded in your PDF, if not fonts might be swapped and your document may not turn out as expected.
